Nepal climbing season claims five French lives

KATHMANDU (AFP) — Five French trekkers and mountaineers were among six foreigners killed during the autumn climbing season in Nepal, the French embassy and Nepalese officials said Friday.
October and November offer prime conditions for trekking and mountaineering in Nepal's spectacular Himalayan peaks, but altitude sickness and accidents cause annual fatalities.
